Returns & Refunds
We are here to help, being 100% Australian owned and operated by the same family for over 30 years, James Shields & Company has the knowledge and experience for the equipment we sell, if you are not sure what it is exactly that you want EG thread size or type we suggest that you contact us via email or better still phone during business hours so we can get it right the first time.
Thread sizes and types, Mega joule ratings, volume capacities, pressures and vaporisation rates etc along with being correctly fitted by an approved person with current certification to ensure that items ordered by you and supplied by James Shields & Company are fit for purpose and have been installed correctly by such an approved person have a bearing on products, applications and usage. Products incorrectly assigned, misused, incorrectly installed, installed by any unapproved person will automatically become void of any warranty, refund or exchange policy or right.
Our refund and exchange policy
We know you will be happy with our products, quality and service but if some parts are tricky If in doubt contact us, if you order the wrong part we want to help, but here are our policies:
James Shields & Company are happy to offer a full refund for the price of the good (excluding all delivery charges) or exchange on damaged goods within 14 days of purchase.
If you change your mind, or you specified the wrong item we are happy to offer an exchange or credit note within 14 days of purchase. Products must be returned to our Spotswood warehouse at the customers' expense (see our contact us page for the Spotswood warehouse location). Our regular delivery charges will be incurred by the customer to dispatch the change of mind / correct item.
To be entitled to a refund or exchange, items must be unused and in their original condition and a copy of your proof of purchase must be provided.
Returns under warranty
Rest assured, every item sold at James Shields & Company is covered by warranty. Warranties differ depending on the product. For more information on specific warranties, please contact us directly. James Shields & Company have a test facility where testing of warranty returns are examined. If returned items are found to be as we represent them and no fault is found we will contact you to discuss the matter and applicable freight charges will apply for returning the product to you. Fixed pipe products used in installations require a copy of the Gasfitters Certificate of Compliance or equivalent to accompany the return. James Shields & Company will not be liable for any costs incurred by the purchaser for losses resulting from misuse or the incorrect or illegal installation of its products.
Defective or damaged goods
O-oh, please immediately contact us if the product you ordered arrives in defective or damaged condition. That’s never our intension and must clearly be a mistake. Items that arrive in defective or damaged condition will be replaced immediately at no extra cost to you (with a virtual sorry stamp attached). Please note: You must contact us within one week of receiving your order. Products must be unused and in their original condition preferably with the packaging still attached and a copy of your proof of purchase.
